With the comfort of knowing Prussian Vixen is back to her best, Mornington trainer Michael Mehegan has reason to believe the future is bright for the four-year-old mare.

Mehegan, who bred and part-owns Prussian Vixen, spelled the daughter of King of Prussia after two last-placed efforts last campaign.

“We took her to Sandown the week before her first-up run for a jumpout and she won in the quickest time of the day.

“And after her first-run (when fourth behind Crystal Dreamer over 1000 metres) I knew she was back.”
