It’s been a quiet couple of months of racing for the MJM team but behind the scenes there has been much activity.
With an eye to the future, Michael attended the Inglis Great Southern Sale held over the weekend in Melbourne and came home with two weanling fillies.
After inspecting more than 100 horses, these two fillies appealed to Michael and he was thrilled to make successful bids on both of them.
The first filly purchased was Lot 96, Bay Filly by Master of Design x Prussian Spice. Full sister to Prussian Officer.
The second purchase was Lot 183, Bay Filly by Reset x Asymmetric. Half-sister to Stokehouse and Malasun.
Both fillies have already moved to a spelling property in North East Victoria and will spend the rest of year growing and developing in the paddock. Michael expects them to hit the track for their first prep sometime later next year. Both are Super Vobis eligible and it is hoped they will be a great addition to our expanding team.
