After threatening to break his maiden in his two earlier races, Mr Jammo broke through for a well deserved victory at Cranbourne on Friday night.
Despite drawing the widest gate, the 4yo gelding showed great gate speed and was able to easily work his way to the front of the field, and from there he was never headed.
Still very raw and with plenty of upside to come, it was a satisfying and rewarding result for a horse that has been in great form this prep.
It was even more pleasing to have some of Donny’s owners at the track on the night. A terrific group of people who are a lot of fun to be involved with, there were big smiles all round and we hope this victory is the first of many more to come.
